wow, i haven't updated this thing in awhiles...its all about MYSPACE..haha..j/p
i had one of those moments - that when you look back on everything - it will be one of those lasting memories...
Last nite, i performed at the Hollywood Improv in front of a sold out show, & from the reaction of the crowd & my peers, my set juss killed it ( 4 yall none ebonics folks - that means did WELL)..."lit ya *ss on fiyah" however, it did not prepare me for what was in store...after my set, guess who strolls in, the one & only Chris "M*thaphukin" Rock - one of my inspirations...from boomerang to his stand ups - my goodness...i was in awe - even though he did not perform - i was right next to this man & it was crazy how he juss came into the room & juss studied the crowd & comics...he didnt draw attention to himself - was juss a straight up professional, appreciating the art of stand up & gettin that "itch" to get up on stage...juss bein in the prescence of a person like that, that you have seen only through TV & tabloids, and bein able to say, I performed on the same stages as this man is simply amazing...
After last nites experience, there is no turning back - in the past weeks, i realized that if u don't do what you LOVE to do for FUN or for yourself, than don't call it something you love to do... ppl ask me all the time - do u get nervous b4 u go onstage, & i answer, "hell yea" but that is the beauty of it- its a humbling experience, putting yourself out there. Performing is a HIGH that u can get LEGALLY & even doe, im doin all these shows, I don't get paid - dont get me wrong, I would like to make a living off doing dis sh*t, but aye - the best part of "Making It" is the RIDE...yea yea...big ups to Brooklyn...DETROIT holla BACKS!!!
Sidenote:
Happy 3 YRS, boo...i love u & that will never change , i cant wait to see your "crazy" *ss..haha... |
